ANDREA'S STORY AND PRECIOUS BABIES
I spoke with this girl after I saw her pictures of her precious babies with health issues...... This is only one of many in Sarasota and every county affected by this disaster that I have seen and talked with.
Thank you Andrea..
My name is Andrea and I’m a resident of Sarasota. My son has a history of chronic respiratory problems. He regularly sees a pulmonologist, or lung doctor, to monitor his condition. Infants with chronic respiratory conditions are usually treated with medication given by a nebulizer (a breathing machine) or with an inhaler using a spacer with a mask. In the past, we’ve only had to treat him when he has an acute problem, such as an upper respiratory infection.
Recently, he began experiencing inflammation in his lungs and was prescribed an additional inhaler with steroids to take twice daily. While his pulmonologist can’t definitively say the inflammatory response is caused by the current outbreak of red tide / toxic algae in the Gulf, it certainly isn’t helping his condition.
