![]() Great Update from Johns Journey to a Cure (with Prostate Cancer) http://www.johnsjourneytoacure.com/blog/17-months-later-psa-test-results-its-all-good A Judge Ordered The Florida Parents Of A Child With Leukemia To Continue With Chemotherapy5/10/2019
![]() WOW - judge orders parents to comply with chemotherapy ordered by the original doctor - when they weren't happy with the physicians and sought a second opinion, this is what can happen??? And the child was taken away from their parents and put in the grandparents home?? Judge states they must comply with PROPER MEDICAL CARE - SO JUST WHAT IS THAT - there are many new treatments out there he surely is not aware of nor does he have the knowledge to make such a decision (in my opinion). The child is tramatized by doctors now and being separated from his parents because they failed to comply with chemo and were picked up by Hillsborough County Police. He received two rounds of chemo and Blood tests showed NO cancer. So how come they are forcing this on this child. I can not imagine this being forced on me or my husband (or our child) when we had cancer. Unfortunately, I did have chemo but that was 11 yrs ago (but never when I was cancer free per blood tests) my hubby did not - he had PROTON Therapy and had NO side effects at all and is cancer free - almost 2 yrs now. Proton Therapy is NOT a new treatment nor is immunotherapy and many other treatments - this judge may want to read up on this but I doubt he will. This case makes me so mad.... This case is Scheduled to go back to court in June - I will be watching the outcome of this outrageous order. Check out Noah's Story - Florida Freedom Alliance - Click the link Below: The government is displaying yet another agregious overreach into the personal and parental rights of its citizens. Noah’s case is not the first and if we keep allowing this to happen, it won’t be the last. It is time to stand up and remind the government who they work for and that parents call the shots! A Fight For Medical Freedom And Noah’s Law This is GREAT NEWS for all of those Patients who are denied coverage for Proton Therapy even though they have this treatment in their policies. (Johns doctor had to go back and forth with our insurance carrier and prove that Proton Therapy had to be done as it was better for him than radiation or surgery.) In the end they agreed with our doctor and allowed the treatment. This should not be an issue IF a doctor says it is necessary for any patient IF it is covered in their policy. I always wondered how an insurance company can decide which is best for you.

It was not offered to us until I asked. The biopsy is sent to them to determine the aggressiveness of the cancer. This Test is the ONLY accurate measure of whether or not your cancer is aggressive in nature and in many cases it just may not be. This will give both you and the PHYSICIAN additional information about the TRUE nature of the cancer that NO other test can. Be informed before you make your decision about any treatments. What is Prolaris®?
Prolaris provides a new measure of the aggressiveness1,2 of an individual’s prostate cancer. Getting a Prolaris ScoreTM will give both the patient and physician additional information about the true nature of the cancer that no other test can. Prolaris is a measure of how fast a prostate cancer tumor is growing. Biopsy tissue samples can be used to determine a patient’s personal Prolaris Score. Studies have shown that Prolaris provides an accurate assessment of cancer aggressiveness.1,2 And, because every individual’s prostate cancer is different, the result of each Prolaris test is unique to that patient. Safely choose active surveillance & reduce overspending on prostate cancer carePhysicians use the Prolaris test for men with localized prostate cancer to add precision to their clinical risk assessment. The unique information provided by Prolaris drives optimal treatment decisions, by identifying patients who can safely choose active surveillance and thereby reduce morbidities associated with unneeded interventions. This net reduction in unnecessary therapies produces an overall cost savings to the healthcare system.
